Join four illustrious networks for tech art: The Lumen Prize global exhibition of awardwinning digital artists on its last night in the gallery, Ann Aptaker's Master of Arts in Exhibition and Design Class, Leaders in Software and Art (LISA) and Creative Tech Week for an evening of passed hors d'oeuvres and digital art.

On Dec 10th, we are delighted to be partnering with the new city-wide festival, Creative Tech Week, and LISA, Leaders in Software and Art, for an evening of cutting-edge art + tech talks, moving image and demonstrations as well as a reception hosted by NYIT's Department of Fine Art. 6pm - 9pm. We will hear from four speakers:

  • Matthew Cornelius, Director of NYIT’s Art Media Lab and HIVE (Home of Innovation, Visualization and Exploration)

  • Interactive Artist Kawandeep Virdee, head of product at Embedly, trustee at the Awesome Foundation and co-founder, New American Public Art

  • Dr. Nick Lambert, art historian, Chair of the UK Computer Arts Society, a director at Lumen Projects, and Head of Research at Ravensbourne (one of London's top colleges for media and art)

  • Martha Mooke, award-winning composer, musician, music director and pioneer in the field of the electric five string viola/violin

Located in the stunning foyer and public space of the Auditorium on Broadway, 1871 Broadway (between 61st and 62nd), the Lumen show will run from Dec 8-10th from 11am to 5pm daily, including prize-winning digitall works from all over the world using creative coding, software and apps and displayed using projectors, large-scale monitors and prints.
